Advocacy in Action

The Deliver for Good Campaign is a multilateral partnership – with active connections in country, regional, and global spaces – that calls for increased political, programmatic, and financial investments in the health, rights and wellbeing of girls and women, in all their intersecting identities, and mainstreams gender equality across the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By bringing diverse partners together, the Campaign builds solidarity among stakeholders, supports collaborative advocacy initiatives, and facilitates policy coherence in SDG-related processes anchored by the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

By bringing diverse partners together, the Campaign builds solidarity among stakeholders, supports collaborative advocacy initiatives, and facilitates policy coherence in SDG-related processes anchored by the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.

The Deliver for Good Campaign leverages three main advocacy approaches:

Campaigns:

  • Via strategic communications and policy influencing across key policy windows, we collectively advocate for stronger and bolder political, programmatic, and financial investments in gender equality, and the health and rights of girls and women, in all their intersecting identities.
  • Through direct influencing with key decision-makers at national and regional levels, we deepen relationships that improve policies, programs, and funding for gender equality.

Convening:

  • By creating accessible and constructive spaces for advocates, Campaign partners leverage broad-ranging expertise across the SDGs to share lessons and best practices, and define and implement a collectively shared advocacy agenda.
  • By resourcing women’s rights organizations directly at the country and regional level, Deliver for Good ensures that the leadership of girls and women, and their organizations, are sustained, their advocacy strengthened, and their access to decision-making spaces supported.

Capacity-sharing:

  • By facilitating cross-country, cross-regional, and cross-partner, knowledge- and capacity-sharing opportunities (meetings, workshops, events, etc), solidarity is built across stakeholders from around the world and a more coherent and coordinated global movement for gender equality is built to influence policy.

Country Advocacy

Country Advocacy

The Deliver for Good Campaign resources dedicated advocacy and communication efforts in Kenya and Senegal. In each country, a coalition of civil society organizations are convened by a lead partner(s) to drive context-specific advocacy and communications strategies devoted to ensuring girls’ and women’s issues are prioritized in the implementation of the SDGs. The country coalitions — comprised of cross-issue, cross-sector, and cross-generational experts — are supported to facilitate the coordination of advocacy efforts across the range of areas affecting girls and women.
